Collection: Acid Dyes

Acid dyes are optimal on all of the animal fibres; wools and silks etc.  These will provide amazing, vibrant colour on these fibres.  Citric acid or vinegar are used as the 'acid' mordant and the dye needs to be steamed or boiled to enable the chemical reaction.  You will know when you are done as the dye water will become clear when sufficiently 'cooked'.
